Dog Rescue and Adoption Directory

People that have love to give, often find that having a dog as a member of their family is a wonderful and enriching experience. Dogs make great friends and can bring joy to every day life, and it has been proven that having  a loving relationship with a dog has therapeutic properties!

There are literally hundreds of thousands of dogs that are abandoned and in desperate need of a loving home.  Before purchasing a pet from a breeder, or pet store, we implore you to check out dogs at your local Rescue or Adoption Centers.  To make things easier we have compiled lists of local rescue and adoption centers, and have sorted them by State below. We think adopting or rescuing a dog is well worth the time, expense and effort.
