The Cocker Spaniel
The Breeds responsive attitude makes them easy to train in basic commands, such as Sit, Stay, and Fetch, etc. However, Cocker Spaniel owners often find these dogs difficult to housebreak and cite a lot of barking as one of the breeds few flaws. Otherwise, the Cocker Spaniel is very eager and willing to please making him a stand-out at obedience training, and an excellent choice for both inexperienced, and experienced dog owners.
Cocker Spaniels do have a tendency to become quite clingy, making them a somewhat demanding pet, and not right for owners that can not allocate time to both exercise their minds and bodies. Overall, this enthusiastic dog is active, very friendly, sociable, incredibly affectionate, and devoted. The Cocker Spaniel would make a wonderful addition to most any home.

The Cocker Spaniel is a highly intelligent, charming breed that enjoys playing and exercise, but also has a calm, and dignified demeanor. The breed is wonderful with children, especially when raised together. Cocker Spaniels also do well with other animals, and strangers. Which makes them the perfect pet if you want to add to your current clan. However, it doesn't make them the best choice as a guard dog.
